Window locks and a very sturdy, modern front door.....TWO other doors, to rear and back, BOTH best possible locks.....Good quality burglar alarm, serviced regularly and used whenever leave house and when go to bed (isolate upper parts of house, so can move around....). Have lights with sensors both front & back.Also chose a house in the middle of a new development, high up but surrounded by other homes..Lights are on all over the house on timers, even when we are out, which the neighbours are NOW used to, but did bother a couple in the early days when they KNEW we were away.. ....There is ONLY one way in and out of the complex, with good quality fencing around the perimeter.........Touch wood, in the FIVE years place been built, there have been NO break-ins and suspect most not as fussy as we are, because had been broken into in our previous home, in an outer suburb,popular with the local thieves, because seen as well to do and ripe pickings..... We never walk anywhere once dark and either take the car or ring for a taxi.......NO problems during the day....
