The truth is that some women lose their mucus plug and dilate WEEKS before going into labour. Some women are the opposite. I was undilated, had no show or mucus plug at 40+5 but once I went into labour I dilated to 6cm within the hour! Each body is different.

My 1st came by scheduled c-section so when I lost my mucus plug with our second I was shocked! Once I started losing it the pressure was ridiculous! It felt like she was going to fall out and was definitely a noticeable difference from how it had felt before. Hang in there though, you're getting close!

unfortunately its still a waiting game, they will not admit you in most cases until you are at least 4 cm dilated, walk walk walk even though its uncomfortable, the only other times they will keep you is if your water has broken
