Mealy bugs all over the cactus.?

I have about a dozen cactus plants planted in two large clay bowels. For quite awhile I have noticed what I now believe are mealy bugs infesting them. Is there a indoor safe insecticide that will get rid of them? I don't care about the chemicals as long as they won't hurt me. I just want to annihilate them.There are too many to try to pick off with q-tips. That is especially difficult when you factor in the cactus needles. Brand names would be helpful.
