How about volunteering? Like at a retirement community? Older people make it easy to learn to be around people, you could teach them things about computers, play games with them, etc.
This will increase your confidence and take down your social anxiety and fear and it will utilize your abilities in computer games, even reading, etc.
It's a great 'hobby' that also helps other people. When you get old enough to get a job, having this social work on your resume will help a lot. It also helps for getting into colleges.
If you don't want to work with older people, then see about volunteering somewhere where there are children and do the same thing with them. Young children are Great confidence builders!
