In your own words, what is LOVE to you?

Love is the essence of your very being. Love is selflessness, love is peace, love is awareness. Love is realizing that which you think is "outside" of you is actually an integral part of you.

Peace and love :)

God is love. And you can find many verses of love in the bible.

Firstly there is unconditional love. That is loving others unconditionally.

Then there is nurturing love

Compassionate love

Protective love

Family love

Neighborly love

Romantic love

Sexual love

Holy love

Intimate love

There is soul love, spiritual love and physical love.

Faith hope & love is eternal. The greatest of these is LOVE.

The commandments Jesus told us to follow. Love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul & strength. Love our neighbors as our self. Love our enemies too.

When we believe in Jesus, we are to love God with all our heart (spirit), our mind (soul) and our physical strength (enduring). And this love is to be received from God (vertically) and reached out to others (horizontally). Like Jesus said about the cross. There is no greater love that for one to give his life for his friends. So the message of the cross.

love is a neurochemical reaction in the brain that occurs under a couple of conditions, when we find someone that appeals to three things lust, comfort, and attraction this is usually the love we have when we pick our "mate" so to speak, also the grateful love that happens for our parents if they have shown us love and care, or the love that comes from bonding like a friendship which only hits two of the three indicators mentioned above, comfort and attraction (and i don't mean sexual attraction i mean that that person has qualities that one finds appealing),

Love=sacrifice and compassion. The Law of Reciprocity.

Recognising Love, feels like alligning myself with the most joyous, peaceful, loving, uplifting feeling in the universe.

It answers every need that I ever have. Nothing is outside of it's scope to harmonise and purify into joy and contentment.

That is exactly what Love means to me on a personal level and in my own words.

E is something that i always forget ( lol.)

Love is passion.

Love for others is compassion.

Love for yourself is a necessity.
