How many miles is a jeep cherokee good for?
I realize this is a loaded question and more dependent on the owner of the vehicle than anything but i was looking at buying a 2000, 6-cylinder, 4wd, cherokee sport with 110k on it and wondered where it was in its life cycle? Anyone care to share their experiences and or common problems with them?

ive got a 97 grand cherokee 4x4 with 170,000 miles on it & im just now having to replace minor things, if taken care of they will last a long time

get a checklist to help you look for signs of problems
with any model of car you can type that year model problems
and get what recalls and other problems listed say like 2000 jeep cherokee problems
then you might know more what too look for beside whats on checklist

It should have 90k left in it with regular maintenance before you have to start replacing too much. They are among the longest lasting vehicles ever made it seems.

i have an 87 with 240k and it runs like a young pup of course it has its issues but the 4.0 is one helluva motor!
