Why can't I view Dr Jello's question about Antarctic ice?
Does it mean he is frightened of my answers and has blocked me in some way? Other people are posting answers.
Edit: Yes, I was right. I didn't know he could do that, but now consider myself honoured.
However, this now means that he can promulgate disinformation and prevent it from being challenged. Is there a counter-move?
BTW: I don't think anyone who stays within the bounds of decency and courtesy should be blocked.
And as to why anybody gives thumbs down to the people who have just given me a straight factual answer and told it like it is...

He blocks most who support the theory, if you really want to see his drivel log out and look, without logging back in. It's a bit sad really it's just the same group agreeing with each other. I wonder if he still thinks the top of Everest has the same air pressure as Mars.

<<How can an enhance in Antarctic sea ice volume as a lot as a record this 365 days be "predicted" even as the variety outputs obviously expect a smooth decline?>> For starters, a way which shows a 'secure decline' over the subsequent ninety years does no longer mean that therefor occasional annual spikes are out of the question. extra importantly, are you confident you're searching on the right graphs? Are you confident you realize the uncertainties-variety expressed on each and each graph? This years' record Antarctic sea ice volume falls nicely interior the uncertainties type of the IPCC's 2007 fashions as expressed in figure 10.13 D.

Well I was wondering where the rest of you guys were.
I posted an educated answer to his question, here is the question and answer:
Question:
Antarctica's ice mass is gaining ice mass every year since records were kept. The rate of gain of the Antarctic ice is 1.1% per decade which correlates to a gain of over 370,000 sq km from the mean levels.
http://nsidc.org/data/seaice_index/image%E2%80%A6
Why is the Antarctic sheet gaining mass at such a fast pace even when climatologists and the IPCC are telling us that global warming is causing all the ice to melt?
Why are they perpetuating false data?
Answer:
Just a few things to consider:
1: its not gaining at a "fast" pace as you say. That uptrend is very shallow.
2: You have forgotten that there are two hemispheres and both need to be considered when you are talking about "global" warming. If you go to the exact same website and look at the same graph for the northern hemisphere you will see this graph:
http://nsidc.org/data/seaice_index/image%E2%80%A6
Notice the -3.3% per decade in the northern hemisphere.
So considering that we are talking globally, then average the northern and southern hemisphere sea ice trends and we have a -2.2% ice loss per decade.
Nice try Jello, but selectively using convenient graphs to try to prove a point is very dishonest. I used more information from the same site that you sited to prove you wrong.

I guess Dr Jello prefers answerers who share his prejudices and can't spot his silly errors... can't say for sure, I can't read his questions either
- bob326Lv 51 decade ago
Shoot, I haven't been blocked yet.
Of course, I generally don't answer Jello questions because I've answered similar questions many times before. Or, like many of his questions, are based purely on a false assumption/understanding.

If it says "You cannot view this question at this time" it means he's blocked you.
He's blocked virtually every AGW realist. Take it as a compliment (he can't handle being presented with scientific evidence that he's wrong), and welcome to the club.
*edit* good answer by Ichbas. There's also the fact that there's more ocean around Antarctica (greater thermal inertia) and ozone depletion, both factors causing the region to warm more slowly.
But I think we all realize by now that when most deniers ask seemly scientific questions, they're not interested in the real answers. What they're trying to do is create a facade that they deny AGW for scientific reasons. Jello is a perfect example of this, since he doesn't even allow people to answer his questions with scientific evidence.

He's blocked you because he doesn't want you answering it--he does that to me, too. Genberally if you point out that he is incorrect (usually intentionally lying) and do that repeatedly he will block you.
Jack_Scar just did the same thing to me, apparently because he didn't like my answer about peer review. I find it amusing that both he and Jello have asked questions attacking peer review--then they have the nerve to block answers!!
What hypocrites.

I've been blocked by a couple of the more extreme alarmists, doesn't bother me at all. I take it as a compliment, although i do think it's a bit pathetic.

He blocks anybody who knows anything. He asks silly questions and blocks those who can give the answers. There are a couple of guys that do that, both uneducated, nonsense-spewing trolls.
