1. Choose any number. (Any number will do, but, I suggest you stick with 1 to 10 or you may need a calculator.)
2. Multiply the number by 6
3. Add 30
4. Divide by 2
5. Subtract 3 times your original number
6. Divide by 3
7. Add 1
No matter what number you start with your answer is 6.
Explain how this works.
Explanation:
1. x = any number
2. Multiply by 6 = 6x
3. Add 30 = (6x + 30)
4. Divide by 2 = (6x + 30)/2 = (3x + 15)
5. Subtract 3 times your original number = (3x + 15) - 3x = 15
6. Divide by 3 = 15/3 = 5
7. Add 1 = 5 + 1 = 6

Q. If a bum can make 1 cigar from 7 cigarette butts, how many cigars he make from 25 butts?
A. The answer is 6, because after he makes 5 and smokes them, then he will have 5 more butts to make the 6th.
Here's a simple (but can drive you crazy!) one:
Q. If it's 1 for the money, 2 for the show, 3 to get ready, and 4 to go, what's between 5 and 7?
A. 6. (Duh!)
