no interest in sex or women?

Been feeling like this for quite a while and don't know why. I have been looking at some real sexy pics of women naked and having sex on the net for the last hour and have no feelings or erection, personally i couldn't care less about it and would rather read the news on Google, haven't been in any relationship for over 8 years and i am 45. I have always had low libido but not like this. Is this is abnormal or what?

Update:

Just for the record i am slightly homophobic so NO GAY stuff. it makes me sick.

How are things in the other areas of your life? Are you of good general health? Are you getting enough sleep? How is your mood on a general day to day basis? Are you as happy as you usually are? Are you making enough time for yourself? Maybe you just need a change in scenery, a holiday even.

Sorry for all the questions but these are all things to consider. I found in my case I lost my libido when I had depression, but this was cured with the right anti-depressants.

Maybe it's as simple as the type of **** you are watching, perhaps it has become old or lame to you and you need to look at a different niche.

I'm no doctor but Ive spoken to many people in the past who are in your situation and I would be more than happy to help if you want to email me and talk further.

Good luck and I hope you get it sorted soon!

    She-yih! These folks are thorough-going as-soles.

Here's what you do. You go to your doctor and have a full check up. It's possible that you've simply passed the trigger point for arousal. No more hard-ons. Or maybe you've had a change in your chemistry.

Of course, the lack of a relationship for more than eight years could also have something to do with it.

But in any event, you need to see a real expert--not a Yahoo Answers Amateur.

    Might be normal.

Get the physiology checked out by a medical doctor to make sure nothing nasty is impeding hormones. Middle age physical problems can affect ones mental condition, and can create a confusing feed-back loop situation to the point where you don't know what's causing what.

Once you know your body (aka prostate, etc.) and your mind is clear, go for whatever makes you enthusiastic. Like playing the stock market, or painting landscapes, gardening, or designing robots.

Being enthusiastic works wonders for every part of ones life.

I think you enjoy your own company enough that you don't need the company of others, which is probably a good thing if you have a low libido.

You just need someone in your life. If you actually had the pleasure of a woman right infront of you, letting those feelings arise again, you would be able to feel it. **** won't always do it for ya.
