How does one act like a Sorority girl?
For a musical review, I am dancing to the song "Bend and Snap!" from Legally Blonde: The Musical, and we are told to have character. I am not a naturally preppy, sorority, whatever girl, so I'm not too sure how to do this. I have an idea, if I don't get a good answer, but I would much prefer some insight. I don't dare ask my schoolmates (and I don't pay attention much) even if they do act as such. Thank you!
Also: for the same musical review, I am Penny from Hairspray (the musical version) so some insight on her would be much appreciated!
More details: It's for acting. I need insight on how to act-act like the most stereotypical sorority girl. And act like Penny.

Be perky! Smile really cheesy, flip your hair, and move your hips and shoulders A LOT. Have fun with it, Maria! You are trying to get a guy to notice you. Remember what Elle says about the "bend and snap" in the movie? She says it has a 98% guarantee of getting a guy's attention and an 86% chance that he asks you out on a second date. You don't have to act like a sorority girl per se, you should just be a typical California party girl who loves getting her hair and nails done, shopping, and talking about guys. If you need some inspiration, watch the movie again, and maybe other movies like "Clueless", "House Bunny", and "Uptown Girls". It's like London Tipton ("The Suite Life of Zack and Cody") meets Tia Landry ("Sister, Sister"). If you have never heard of any of these shows, you have been deprived and I will make you watch them. Your character should come naturally. When you hear up-beat, fun music from a Broadway musical, what do you usually do? You act like a crazy person...I've seen you do it before. As for Penny, I also recoommend watching "Hairspray". Amanda Bynes is very gifted in the department of playing a weirdo. Penny is more like you than you think. She's suuportive, optimistic and a bit ditzy. I hope I can come watch the performance!
