How has your hunting season been so far?

I live in Alabama and hunt deer. I love the outdoors and spending time outside. Deer season ends in less than a week here and I'm still hunting three decent bucks we have on camera. I got a doe earlier this year and put some meat in the freezer. How has your hunting been this year?

It's been great. I've saved one Buck tag so I can keep bow hunting until Feb. 15.I've been letting deer walk almost on a daily basis wanting to fill my tag the last day of the season. But if the right size buck comes along I would have to shoot it. The deer in my hunting areas seem to have exploded in population the last 5 or 6 years. I had over 20 deer come out by my stand on opening day of bow season. In the old days I would not see 20 deer all year long.I bow hunted for over 20 years before killing one big enough to hang on the wall, and in the last 3 years I've killed 4 that were wall hangers. I consider anything killed with a bow that is in the 130 class and up to be a wall hanger. I wish I could say it was because I was getting better at it, but everyone is doing better then ever these last few years.

It was the worst season ever in illinois. Not just for me but several Illinois hunters. The weather was so bad this last season with rain that there might even still be some corn fields out that farmers havent got to yet. My guess is becasue of late crop removal the deer hung out in the corn fields. Plus the area ive been hunting at for years, the properties next to it have accumulated alot more hunters and the area over all is being over hunted. Deer i would let walk to get bigger the neighbors shoot. I try to let little buck walk so they can get bigger. This last seaon i was even lucky to see one doe.

pretty crappy. Went Black Bear hunting in September in northern Ontario and a bunch of Americans stole our bait, and bait piles. We saw 1 bear and 3 cubs walking the tracks and decided to let them go due to the cubs. We saw a nice bull moose while going down river for fish. Came back to do some deer hunting and saw nothing all week. Did a few yote hunts and saw nothing but did come across one while setting up for target shooting which was perfect. The 7mm let him have it at 280 yards and he didn't move a muscle. got a few rabbits and plan on continuing with rabbit and coyote

put two does in the freezer. I only hunt public land and one friends property. Passed on a decent 8 pointer. OK, he never came out of the brush. Looking for sheds right now to pass the time.

I live in Ms and the season has been ok I got a nice 10 and 2 does. The game wardens did make a statement that 1/3 of our deer pop. was killed due to the Black Tongue

Not so great for deer. I saw a bunch of big bucks and does, but the never came within bow range.

Quail and birds were good though.

I'm from the United Kingdom - we don't have bag limits and don't have a tag. The only Tag I have is the one on my wrist.

Therefore I've had a most enjoyable shooting season. Pheasant and Partridge aplenty. Fallow and Muntjac deer aplenty. The Fallow season ends in February and I'm hoping for double figures.

Well I bagged a nice 4x4 which is big in southern Kalifornistan. The drought out here had put a big dent in the number of deer and quality of bucks this year. Hopefully with this good winter rain next year will be as good. Good luck to you.
