I looked up as the cataclysmic eruption shook the earth and lo and behold, our Lord Jesus Christ surfed upon a great wave of molten lava. There's no way to know the real answer to that question, but I think you are correct that people along the west coast of Canada and the USA will indeed be in big trouble.
