Sharp pain in my Ear.?

I woke up this morning with a headache, nothing major but it's been there all day. Occasionally I'm getting a sharp pain in my ear. What do the good people of Yahoo think this could be?

Update:

The pain is top of my head and towards the right side of my head, the same side as my ear pain.

    Headache + ear pain may signify sinus infection. Is your headache concentrated in the front or top of your head?

    Could be an ear infection associated with an incipient cold. Penicillin always fixes ear infections for me.
