Would anyone think of temporarily boycotting McDonald's regarding unfair sacking?
McDonald's fired worker for adding cheese to a hamburger and not charging:

Note I am not suggesting that anyone should temporarily boycott McDonald's I am merely asking if anyone would consider it.
I believe the worker made a small error of judgement. Firing them is unreasonable, anyone who says otherwise has no concept of fairness.

No, I wouldn't think of it because to be honest I feel like the only person it would hurt is myself. I enjoy McDonald's so it would suck if I was unable to eat it for a while. However, my boycotting efforts wouldn't probably do anything, even if I was part of a group doing it. It's just such a huge corporation that profits from millions of small sales. Because of the small value each customer contributes to the corporation as a whole, losing a few is probably unnoticeable (except maybe 1 store if you got the entire surrounding community to participate). I suppose it depends who you're going after: The top (CEOs) or the bottom (individual employee/individual restaurant).
In regards to the firing: Sometimes you have to look at the bigger picture. Was it really just a slice of cheese? Or was it months of continued "warnings" for being late, disrespecting customers, doing a half-asss job, etc. and the cheese was just the last straw. Sometimes disgruntled ex-employees don't tell you everything ;)

Extra cheese - and they got fired - that sucks - but I can think of far more compelling reasons to avoid Mc Donalds, I knew the friend of the franchise owner at a Mc Donalds, and saw "someone" take burgers into a bathroom, wipe himself with the patties, come back - throw some ketchup and mustard on and serve them up to unpleasant customers.
So I'll boycott on cheese - but after seeing that stunt I couldn't bear the thought of eating at Mc Donalds again for nearly a decade, and every time have eaten at ANY fast food restaurant I've made sure to be
A. Pleasant and respectful to my server
B. Asked if I could have them make something that required that they make it fresh
That someone got fired for being nice and offering cheese is totally out of line but it's practically a sign of good character that one is fired from some of the working environments that exist presently.
Daniel (above) maked an excellent point about the liberated employee, but for myself it means that I will of course continue to boycott Mc Donald's, but I can think of a whole sh*tload of other reasons I wouldn't choose to eat there.

Although we may not know ALL the details, I think they "McDonald's" could of handled the situation better. They could of reprimanded the worker with a suspension from work. I understand rules are rules, however, public image is just as important and it definitely left a bad impression on my mind.

The worker knew it was wrong. She knew favoritism. I guess mcdonalds could have saved the firing for the second or third policy violation. BTW, the Netherlands is liberal,,,, go figure whith the court ruling.

No, because the government shouldn't have anything to do with the employment policies of companies. In the United States the woman would have been rightfully fired.

I want Muslims boycotted those evil Zionist swine yet lamentably, it relatively is in basic terms some who do. Ever heard of the socialist worker? THEY boycott Zionist products and maximum of them are non-Muslim. If in basic terms extra Muslims joined in, those agencies might relatively be affected.

The worker should not have been fired unless it was in a long line mistakes by the employee.

It's between her and McDonalds. Not really interesting enough to motivate a boycott.

Drawing attention to the event would likely help the McDonald's rather than hurt it.
Especially if folks think they might get free cheese!
