I'm an American in Canada. Should I streak my hair red, white and blue for the winter olympics?

To support our country in the Winter Olympics, should I streak my hair red, white and blue or just leave it as it is? I'm a student at UBC (Vancouver) and the Olympics are in Vancouver as well. I just thought it would be great to do something to support my country (and to cheer against Canada as well. Seriously, I want the USA to beat these Canucks at everything).

Update:

In Canada, red white and blue is almost always associated with the USA.

So many countries have Red, white and blue in their flags so it would be difficult to see you were supporting the USA. I think you are better off leaving your hair as it is and wear a star and stripes sweat shirt/scarf,hat etc instead. You'll be able to buy all you want in one of the official merchandising stores.

yeah, apparently so. he watered down our Navy to make his pharmaceutical-company-looking logo with no freaking words, as if we are illiterate. the American flag has stars, not a Rising Sun. before his supporters held up posters with just an image on him, like Chairman Mao banners. but what can the guy do? an "OBAMA" sign in capital letters can be graffiti'd to say something else really quickly with a sharpie. EDIT: check out all the answers to your question from all these people pretending to be Americans---funny how they really like the Senator's disdain for American symbolism. Maybe the Senator should get a big chunk of money to buy a big place for them all to "move on" : they can all bask in the rays of the "O" poster in a fantasy of benevolent dictatorship!

Nothing wrong with cheering on your own country, but not a good idea to insult the people who live in the country where it is being held. You should show some respect by not calling them Canucks because, after all, you are getting your education there.

Quit calling Canadians Canucks; it's offensive. But, sure, why not? Nothing wrong with a little competitive patriotism. Your friends will understand friendly rivalry. Just don't nation-bash! Ha ha.

You may end up sticking out like a sore thumb but at the same time I think ppl will understand and know where your loyalty lies.

  • it would look like a french flag =(

believe me... I've made red white and blue wallets and pillows

nobody ever guessed it had something to do with america (here in switzerland)

unless you can do a stars and stripes pattern... then it would be awesome :D

I personally wouldn't like to stick out that much.

Is the Canadian cheer "Go for the Bronze"?

''Red, White and Blue, what does it mean to you?

    England remains, always the same.................''

Could I point out that streaking your hair could

also mean that you are from the UK.
