Is it rude to ask FB friend requests "who are you"?

When you get a facebook friend request from someone (with mutual friends) and you cant for the life of you think of who they are...

is it rude to ask them who the hell they are? Is there a nice way to do it?

What about people who dont seem to have any connection to you at all? Is it worth asking them, or do you just ignore them?

I do it all the time...Especially to people who have a lot of mutual friends, or no mutual friends at all.

Instead of bluntly asking "who are you?" I found it to be nicer to say "I'm sorry, where do you know me from?" or "Do you know me from somewhere?" that way, they can tell you where they know you from instead of feeling offended by explaining to you who they are if you should've remembered them. Most of the time, the people I ask that DON'T know me, they were just looking for more friends.

first of all ask your self what's your expectancies are? in case you opt for a woman chum then reject her. attempt to discover a woman who don't have a boy chum at present 2d. yet once you're searching for a pal what does it rely if she has a boy chum or no longer? Getting perplexed right this is the priority. interior the quicker prevalence additionally blaming her for somebody calling you is likewise no longer trustworthy. In at present's international to get some ones telephone quantity isn't so very complicated. it could have been a number of your buddies who ought to have called you to easily tease you. I continuously try this style of pranks for the sake of relaxing. yet I do declare it interior of few hours. wish it enables.

I just ignore them, but that's just me. I had two woman make friend requests to me, and it turned out they were friends of a friend and were actually just looking for more people to play mafia wars with, which does not interest me at all.

I ask them "I'm sorry ,but do I know you?" It's unfortunate that people on Facebook try to collect other people's friends, then send requests to play Farmtown, Farmville, Mafia Wars, ad infinitum, and never send a personal note.

Not at all rude to ask who they are. "I'm sorry, I'm afraid I didn't recognize this name right away. I have a terrible memory sometimes, would you be so kind as to remind me how we know each other?"

this way you're taking blame for it if you do know them instead of making them feel foolish for contacting you.

  • It's rude to ask the way phrased the question. I would rephrase it and say, "I'm sorry but do I know you?" or something like that.

Source(s): It's happened to me many times on FB.
