"Open With" upon program opening?

Ok, so, I had a piece of malware (god knows where it came from) on my computer named "Vista Antimalware 2010" and used windows life onecare to try and fix it - the virus was removed, but it forced me to restart and now I'm winding up with an "Open With" screen upon running any type of program or shortcut.

It's annoying me to no end.

I can still run /certain/ programs (one of the notable ones I cannot use is system restore, typical) using the .exe to run the same .exe through open with, and... I have to get my system back up and workable sooner rather than later.

Safe mode is the same, and I don't really know where else to go.

I need your help guys, now more than ever.

(Running Vista 64x)

Update:

Thanks there, but the command prompt won't play either.

Update 2:

Scrap that - CMD is now working but not via Run (Seems that RUN associates it as an EXE, and seeing as the association path is broken...)

I'll try opening regedit and changing the user choice registration entry.)

Update 3:

-Girlish squeal!-

Yes! YES! I AM INVINCIBLEEE.

This is the page that fixed it for me guys, so if you have the same problem, download the REG entry there.

Because it's not an EXE, it doesn't need to go through the whole Run With scenario. :3

Great Job.

    Try this:

    1. Click the Start->Run menu item.

    2. In the text box, enter

    cmd

    and press Enter.

    3. In the “Black Box”, enter

    ASSOC .exe=exefile

    and press Enter.

    Hope that helps.
