Minnesota Vikings???

If Farve were to come back and play another year with the Vikings, do you think Minnesota will be as good, better, or worse?

I would say worse. They would be playing a tougher schedule and everyone will have had a year's worth of film on him with the Vikings to study. Plus he's getting older and I doubt he can duplicate what was nearly a career year for him, as far as TD to interception ration, points scored, etc. Favre has his ring and his records. And, he has nothing else to prove.

Sure, it would be tough knowing your last pass in the NFL was an interception that cost the NFC title. But, I think it's time for the old gunslinger to hang up his spikes. If he does any less than go to the Super Bowl next year, it would be considered a disappointing season for him.

It's hard to tell. I think that Brett will be great. Pat Williams is talking about retiring. He's 38. Cedric Griffin is having knee surgery and will probably not be ready until after the season has started. Hence, the Defense is going to need some reworking. Leslie Frasier is a great coordinator. The Vikings should be OK. A lot will depend on how the rest of the division shapes up. The Vikings can play well and still lose.

About as good. Is there really such a big difference between playing at 40 and playing at 41? That's like saying you could drink 15 beers when you were 21 but now that you are 22 you can only handle 3. Ridiculous. He is OBVIOUSLY far superior to any other QB the Vikes currently have on the roster even at his age, and gives them the best chance to win next year. Trade up for Bradford??? What the hell the Vikes are gonna have the 30th pick, trade up like 25 spots????

The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior . That being said , seeing as Favre is known for throwing interceptions and losing playoff games and the Vikings have always ended up losers in their entire history I'll go with worse .

Favre's last playoff game each year with packers. Not including fumbles:

2 INT vs NYG, 70.7 rating

4 INT vs MN, 55.4 Rating

1 INT vs Philly, 82.4 Rating

2 INT vs ATL, 54.4 Rating

6 INT vs STL, 53.5 Rating

2 INT vs SF, 79.9 Rating

With the Vikings=more of the same

about the same, but they need to trade up a little in the draft and go after Bradford. let Bradford sit and learn a year.

Edit, are you silly enough to think he will be there for pick 29? ever hear of trading a 1st round and a 2nd round for someones 1st. it has only happened like 100 times

It's not about Favre as far as better vs worse. It's about Harvin taking a step up, Rice duplicating, Henderson staying healthy, perhaps an addition or two. They certainly don't wanna lose him...

I think they will be just as good as they were this season. If he isn't coming back, Donavan McNabb will probably end up in Minnesota.

I don't think Favre will play anywhere near the same level next year. This year was all revenge fueled to show TT his mistake. He won't have that next year, and will fall into his old habits. Or do you think it was Chilly's great coaching that kept those INTs low?

better, favre converted the team into a NFC Championship team and he's only just started...

worse because he'd be 41 by when he will be playing. And it depends on who they release and sign.
