What does "Hyper 16 Valve" means?

What does Hyper 16 Valve means in an engine specifically Hondas?

I have a Honda City (1997 model, 3rd Generation) with a 1300cc SOHC 16valve MPI PGMFi engine. My curiosity began when I saw the face-lifted 3rd Generation City (1999-2002 models) with this "HYPER16"... stickers on their sides and on their valve covers (engraved). Does this mean that my engine is totally different from the 1300cc face-lifted versions?

Thanks in advance!

    By themselves, no.

The "Hyper 16" moniker has been with Honda since at least 1987 and has been applied to many different engines with little or no similarity between them.

Your cars, however, likely do share the same engine, a Honda D-series between 1.3L and 1.5L. Basically just a stepped-down version of the D16 found throughout their automobile line from 1988-2000+.
