The iPad is really not worth it? DO YOU AGREE?

Just wondering what the feeling is out there? How is Apple doing with this new product Apple fans? I am trying not to draw any conclusions?

Well those of u who criticize the ipad lets all step back a little. First of all the ipad that was introduced was ONLY 1.0 VERSION do you really think that apple is stupid enough to think the current ipad that was introduced is the final one? If you do you guys are idiots. Don't believe me? Lets step back a little further this time to the introduction of the ipod. When it was introduced, sales were extremely low. why? no itunes. Well guess what apple did. You already know the answer. The iphone, taht one question: WHAT THE HELL IS A SMARTPHONE? Next thing you know Apple is the big fish. From the ipod to the macs to the iphone, Apple has experience. I doubt that they will fail to satisfy the public All we can do is shutup look and listen and stop criticizing something that will go through multiple changes, upgrades, etc. So YES THE IPAD IS WORTH IT, IT"S ONLY 499. the kindle? thats the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy in disguise.

Personally, I'm still debating too... I'll tell you both for and against reasons why I'm debating still.

    Reason Against it:

Ipad, to me right now is just a bigger Ipod touch, which I already have the ipod touch. So that's is a big no no right there for me. iTouch is more portable than Ipad because it fits in my pocket ,so I'd rather have the iTouch. If they come up with camera, faster processor, and some more attracting stuff, then maybe I'll get it

    Reason For it:

The iBook and the iWork... I don't like to read boring school assignment books, but when it comes to books that I like, I become crazy. A book that I like, I can literally finish it in days (Finished a 250 page book in less than a few hours three days ago) And since iBook can just allow us to download books THAT easy, I'm CRAZED about it!

I'm also in school, so iWork would definitely help out so much in school... I'd probably never even have to use a single piece of paper again lol! (That is if the school decide to allow iPads. Our school allow Laptops but not MP3 players, but iPad is in between, so I dunno... >.<)

Personally, I'll probably wait for the 2nd generation when they tweak it and stuff

Ehhh as of now, without seeing the new apps, it really is a large iPod touch. The thing is, it completely replaces the Kindle, which is almost the same price anyway. I don't see people buying a Kindle over an iPad.

iPad is worthless, like the **** on boar hog. I can do everything on a netbook which iPod can do.

There is no USB port, no Web cam, small hard drive, no CD drive to download files or save data, no movies on Youtube or like web site because no Flash drive, no multitasking just one program at time, and no keyboard except for docking station.

Upgrade or change out the batteries no can do. iPad is sealed unit. You want to add more memory or hard drive - no way. You have trade the old unit for upgrade. No screen when in bright sun light.

I think this item will bomb.

on the ipad, they need a slap into reality and make the home screen/volume buttons bigger and add more built-in features, such as microphone (w/o headphones) and various other things
