Home Remedies for Posion Ivy, Oak, Sumac?
While cutting firewood, Papaw got some posion ivys on his hands...Now we both are itching...
Have done several home remedies (except for flower stems) and I'm MISERABLE...
We are snowed in so I can't get any benedryl but have Tylenol PM for the evening...But think I'm scratching in my sleep and need to wear gloves at bedtime...Am looking for other home remedies to not only stop this unruly itch...But also stop this from spreading.
What's your remedy??? Legit answers only...Please.

make some oat meal if you have it and put it on the affected area it should help the itching.... you can also make a paste with water and baking soda and use that too...you probably dont have calamine lotion but that works if you have it. hope this helps
