Me and my girlfriend split up a couple of months ago, can anyone suggest a good Valentine's Day Present?
I want to show her how much I really love her, and just how much I want to give it another go. I was thinking flowers, but seeing as she lives in another town, and I'm not sure of her routine nowadays, I don't want her to be out when they do get delivered. So more of a 'gift' than flowers...For any of the girls out there, what would show you than an ex wanted to get back together, and what exactly would win your heart?
many thanks
well, that's the thing, I don't Think we had any places we used to visit together (I'm gunna rack my brains for one though)..we mostly just used to lounge around together, which was always really nice.
Maybe Jewellery? No idea where to start with that one though :-s...
Thanks Kristen, I didn't go for you garnet pendant, but it got me thinking, maybe just a heart-shaped piece of Rose Quartz, it'd be relatively cheap (I am kinda unemployed, lol) but I think it says what I want it to...unless anyone disagrees?
Thanks for the tip jenny h, but, seeing as we are actually split up at the mo, that could be verging on the creepy...I think I'm gunna stick to sumthin small bt sweet

If it's been a couple of months I wouldn't buy her anything to drastic odds are she's not coming back. No offense but it's highly likely she will just thank you for the gift and move on.

Awww that's really sweet! Who says romance is dead? Hmmm flowers make me sad because they look really pretty when you get them and then they die... Maybe you should try getting her something more permanent? does she have a favourite place that you used to go together or a nickname? I'd pick something that reminds her of all the good times you had.... I'm sorry if that's not much help....ah well if all else fails then chocolate, possibly with a photo of you two together in the box.... Good luck anyway xx

I agree that it should be a small token of affection, but yet something with meaning behind it. I did some research for you, and I found this necklace: http://www.mysticalcharm.com/gapeforstboo.html
It isn't expensive ($13.95), but it is filled with garnets in oil. Garnets symbolize the bond between friends and lovers, so it sounds like a perfect fit for you! However, you may need to explain the symbolism behind the gift in case she doesn't know.
Best wishes, and I hope you win her back!

women usually find things that are romantic are the best thing, can you not go to where she lives and put up a big banner outside her house saying you love her, for her to see on the morning of valentines day that should touch her heart, its worth a try.
