Is my pregnancy safe or not because I have heart surgery for PFO.?

I have 3 children; 11yrs, 5 yrs and 4 and half years old. on 2008 I had heart surgery because I have 2 stroke cause by Patent Foramen Ovale. Cardiologist implant device amplatzar to close hole in my heart and since than I have to drink salospir 100mg every day. Now i am 42 yrs and I am 5 weeks pregnant. Is it safe or not this pregnancy?

    I think it would be best to talk to your cardiologist/obgyn about your situation. I, myself, have MVP but no surgeries/meds so this pregnancy is relatively safe. But being pregnant does put a lot of stress on the heart so I don't think you find the proper answer on Yahoo Answers.

    My sister in law had a huge cyst removed from her ovary when she was almost 7 months pregnant. It involved going into her abdomen and moving the baby to get to the ovary. She was fine and the "baby" is now a 11 year old girl! Surgery on an ankle would be even more easy on a pregnant woman. She'll be fine. Just be there to help her out while she recovers. Life is about to change for her dramatically soon enough. She needs all the rest she can get in the mean time.
