Just starting off Kayaking, was curious on a few things?

ONe of my kayaks is an Ocean, the Scupper Pro. I like it very much.

Think you are gonna like the Prowler better. Little more sleek, little easier to paddle, and a great boat.

I work for an outfitter and we send out paddle floats with our kayaks. It is a little inflatable bag that slips over the blade which helps you stable yourself as you climb back aboard. Don't worry though once you get a feel for the boat, rolling over won't be an issue.

I don't know the type of Sea kayak there are to many brands to chose from. who ever getting back in is not easy It would be good idea is get some lessens on how mange a kayak at sea. The paddle float is an exultant way to reenter a boat. An other way is re-enter the boat by sliding your legs back in side or to face back of the kayak with both hand on the cockpit and roll back in. once you are in some people can replace the spray deck and roll back up. on all these rescues you will need a pu,p to empty the cockpit bear this in mind when purchasing the boat. I would suggest to get tw single boats much more fun and you rescue each other if need be as a simple x rescue. ( lifting the front of the kayak over the the still up right one sea sawing it until it become empty then swim between the tw boat and place you legs in the cock pit wiggle in to it, put you spray deck on away you go)
