If you can get your mother to sit down and have a conversation do so. Tell her how you feel about sports and tell her what you'd rather be doing. Tell her calmly the reason you want contacts. An argument that turns into a shouting match is just that - - - a shouting match. If she still refuses to get you contacts, ask for her reason. If you feel her answer is unreasonable and you're old enough, get a part time job and buy your own. She not only can't argue with that, she might be impressed.

It doesn't sound like she's forcing you. It sounds like she wants you to have a reason for having contacts (i.e. sports), and she's using that as leverage in her argument that you don't really need them. And she's probably right. Contacts are a luxury. If you have glasses, why spend the extra money to look cute? I know its harsh, but if your mom is paying the bills, you've got to be willing to bend on what she's prepared to buy for you. Until you make your own money, thats all you can do.

Ok your mum should respect what you want to do.

She should let you do what you want to do and let you be who you want to be.

As for the contacts , your mom should understand that some people get bullied for wearing glasses and that people will not know you have contacts unless you tell them , therefore no bullies and contacts go with every outfit!

I had the same thing happen to me. Just let her know that you need contacts because glasses aren't always as convenient, really.

look its natural for parents try to pass a legacy to their children so make your mom happy do the dam volley ball practice its not gonna kill you.

or you can make a stand for what you want and don't want to do it will probably last for ever and your mom is not gonna force you to do anything you don't want again but there are going to be retaliations.
