fantasy baseball question?

I'm not sure when fantasy baseball starts, but I would like to know who your quality picks are and your sleepers.

I guess, is there anyone you all would like to pick earlier than expected and why would you pick them?

Last year, I got lucky and picked Wainwright up early in the draft and didn’t pick up Matt Holliday. This year some of the guys I would like to grab would be Scott Kazmir (he’s a late pick, but he has shown great potential, same as Rich Harden). I’m guessing that Alfonso Soriano will be a later pick due to last year’s injuries, but if he’s healthy, that’s one heck of a pick-up. I look for Carlos Gonzalez to have a big impact this year and then guys like Ryan Ludwick, David Price, Ben Sheets, Alex Gordon and Jason Kubel to have better years than they are rated.

So in closing, just make sure that if you pick some of these risky picks, that you have a few good and solid guys on your team that you are confident will not be injured throughout the year. For instance, you may want to have a good ARod and a solid guy like Derek Lee on your corners, but it wouldn’t hurt to pick up a guy like Alex Gordon who plays both corners in case one of your two gets injured. And something I always try to do is pick 3 closers. This will seal up your saves section and assist in your era and whip sections too. I hope this helps.

well here is a link to Brandon Funston, yahoo's fantasy baseball expert and his top 80 players:

    http://sports.yahoo.com/fantasy/mlb/news?slug=bf-b...

I like his list and want to point out some sleepers, youngsters, and players returning from injuries who are poised from some big seasons in 2010. You can scoop these guys up after the 8th or 9th round in most drafts:

    Youngsters

Jay Bruce hit 38 HRs in first 600 MLB at bats former Minor Leaguer player of the year only 22.

Homer Bailey 6-1, 2.32 ERA last 10 starts, 2004 1st round pick, BA HS player of the year, 2004,

Martin Prado hit 307 14 93 in first 750 MLB at bats, not shabby at 2nd

Alcides Escobar get SS for the Brewers should hit around 300 14 50 with 20 SB

Billy Butler hit 301 22 93 in 2009 should improve even more in year 3.

    Mat Gamel unlimited power

Jeff Clement will respond well with change of scenery. Will be C eleigable

    Injured arms returning

    Sheets, Harang, Harden, Hudson

GET PITCHING EARLY. I know this sounds like lucky picks but I had Greinke Wainwright Lincecum and Cain! K rod as a closer and Fuentes and I forget who else in relief. I had a sleeper offense but I still won the champion ship. Good guys to pick this year Andrew Mccutchen( he will have a great sophmore season), Placido Polanco(don't pick that high but very underated), and Jacoby Ellsbury and Shane victorino are very valuable, lots of steals plus great averages. Hope I helped!

i would say Kershaw for the dodgers. Last year no one expected him to be good then he suddenly became the number one guy in the playoffs the dodgers went to. so id say he will be a sleeper pick.

ryan braun is not really a surprise pick but you might be able to get him in the 2nd round and that would be great im predicting big things from him this year
