Are some people aware that the authors of the Old Testament did not share the same concept of God?

Biblical scholars know that some books of the Old Testament were included as part of the Bible and some were not at different times, one reason being that some did not appear to share the same concept of God or faith, as the editors saw it. How would this change your view of the Bible?

Update:

Please forgive both my humble limited knowledge and space to explain my question. The history of which I speak includes before the "Bible" was known as the "Bible". Please forgive this omission, or do not forgive as you prefer.

As all Humans do through out the ages we attempt to define the mysteries of creation , life and death.

We are limited by our experience , and we define the mysteries of creation through our own experience . What is wrong with the Bible is not so much what is written or what is added or taken away . What has always been the flaw is how these stories have been interpreted and also used .The Bible is often called the book of Life . And that is what these stories reflect . They reflect Human life and our interaction with what we call the divine .

I've been aware that the Old Testament, or rather the Tanakh, was an anthology written by many authors over nearly a thousand years. Even individual books are sometimes amalgams with different ideas of what the character of God is.

Even without the documentary hypothesis, biblical scholarship, linguistic analysis, archeological comparisons, all you have to do is read Ecclesiastes. I don't know how you can get to the last verses and not realize that someone tacked on a few verses to try to sanitize a very humanist, agnostic theist work in order to make it suitable for canonization.

those that Yah picked to write down His inspired word knew what they were doing even if they had not all met each other at that time.

get a copy of dr.bullingers companion bible and look in the back appendixes #'s 30-34 plus 168 for starters.

this besides the side columns on each page shows what some of the uninspired bible "scholars" have done to the original texts contrary to the clear instructions from Yah to leave His words alone - deuteronomy 4;2 & 12:32 / proverbs 30:6 / revelation 22:18-19 / jude 1:3-4

The Old Testament shows God judging sin on the spot and it shows you that man could not live by the laws of God, because man continually rebelled against God. The Old Testament sets the reader up to realize that mankind needed a Savior. That mankind was continually rebellious against God. Man continually wanted to do what was right in his own eyes and not listen to what God says is right. Without the Old Testament the New Testament would not make sense and vice versa. It is said that the Old Testament is God's Word concealed and the New Testament is God's Word revealed.

We are living under Satan's ways and not God's ways. Satan tells man to disobey God just like he told Adam and Eve in the Garden. Satan tells man that he can be a god and do what is right in his own eyes and not need to listen to God. God tells mankind that if you will do this, I will do this and mankind will have life and have life more abundantly.

Satan distorts and twists the Word of God. Satan is always telling you that there is something wrong with God's Word; that God surely didn't say that. Satan constantly gets mankind to change up God's Word to read like man wants it to read.

The books of the Bible that did not share the same concept were written by those who did not share the same gospel of Jesus Christ that the disciples and Apostle Paul shared. Apostle Paul said if any man bring any other gospel than the one they preached - let him be accursed.

Since Nimrod after the Flood of Noah false doctrine and false gods and goddesses have been spread throughout the world. Man will do many things to continue in his sins.

Fundamentalist Christians and Jews say no. They believe that the 5 books of Moses of the old testament are the word of God himself as revealed to Moses, and that the other books are divinely inspired (the books of the prophets and the other books) in the same tradition of revelations.

More liberal Christians and Jews, and some others, feel that there were several authors of the the five books of Moues, and the other books too.

    So your answer is yes.

First, you would have to explain what you mean.

I *suspect* that you are referring to the separation of the Apocrypha by the Protestants in the early 1500s - which does not fit your description very well at all.

The Old Testament was, for most *practical* purposes, set before the first Bibles were created (in 397 C.E.) and suffered only a very, very few additions from that time until the Protestant Reformation. (In English Bibles, we see that only 4 Scriptures were added to the Old Testament from 397 to 1535, when several were removed to a section titled "Apocrypha").

It seems as if you have been misinformed.

The books that were not inspired are the ones the Catholics added to their Bible. Actually the whole Bible (not counting what the Catholics added) is all of one mind basically if you take the time to really pray before you read and study it thoroughly you will see this.

Bible stories were made up over an 1800 year time period. None of the authors knew, talked to or even laid eyes on a person claiming to be the historical Jesus. How accurate are these stories?

Now two people can have the same concept of G-d or of anything else. For instance, your concept of "fun" is much different than mine. If we both share the same experience, we will experience different aspects.

So, why should this be a surprising concept that people don't share the same concept?
