_*Congressional Reform Act of 2011*_

1. No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman collects a salary while in office and receives no

pay when they are out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social

Security.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to the

Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into

the Social Security system, and Congress participates with the

American people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as all

Americans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.

Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system and

participates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on the

American people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen are void

effective 1/1/12. The American people did not make this

contract with Congressmen.

Congressmen made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in

Congress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathers

envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their

term(s), then go home and back to work.

If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will

only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive

the message. Maybe it is time.

Think about it. There is a lot of common sense here.

corporations, which is the reason so many politicians who want to lower taxes for these groups get elected?

too much money from SS and Medicare and are essentially defaulting on promises made to the American people about providing for their future? Does that mean giving the government money for Social Security is just another tax they are adding to the income tax?

that a sense of responsibility toward one's fellow man has waned?

Would I keep it with me all the time?

Would it ever turn to vinegar?

Since we must cut employment in all other areas, should Congress feel safe? One way might be to reduce the members based on the percentage of people in their district who voted for them, then maybe it would encourage more people to vote.

I know I can choose not to respond, which I am, but I fear a hostile or surreptitious takeover. There are professional implications for me.

The Republicans and conservatives argue no one is denied health care because people without insurance can go to the hospital emergency room. Can we say that this is the Republican health care plan? Will it save American taxpayers any money considering people who have insurance will be paying for those who do anyway? Hospitals have to get payment whether the patient can pay or not; where does it come from?

Biblical scholars know that some books of the Old Testament were included as part of the Bible and some were not at different times, one reason being that some did not appear to share the same concept of God or faith, as the editors saw it. How would this change your view of the Bible?
