wrong section, but no one is answering!! need GPS suggestions!?
My family (boyfriend, our two little girls and myself) is driving from NY to FL and we want to purchase our first GPS. We want a really reliable one, one that can re-route us if we get off track, one that talks, I saw somewhere that they can even tell you what lane we need to be in (helpful during traffic on busy unfamiliar highways). Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

We have a Garmin Nuvi and a TomTom. I like the Garmin way more than the TomTom. It's easier to use, IMHO. The Nuvi does talk to you. You can memorize addresses in the data base, quickly set routes, and if you stray from the route, it will either re-route you, or try to turn you around ASAP.
