I cannot eat enough calories!?
I am officially independent after moving hundreds of miles away from home in this great new apartment. But now that I am cooking for myself and staying away from junk food, I am having trouble getting enough calories. The first couple of months I was drinking a lot of apple juice to get some empty calories but now I am taking medication that interacts with apple juice. Plus, I need to drink more than a cup of water everyday.
So I need at least 1400 to 1500 at 5 feet. But right now I have been eating around 800 calories a day and I cannot force myself to eat any more food. With eating oatmeal in the morning, a sandwich or a slice of pizza at lunch, and some pasta at dinner, I am still not getting enough and I am scared that my muscles are going to rot away. Is there something healthy I can eat that is still high in calories?
Yeah peanut butter would have been great but I am allergic. I do eat a lot of carbs though since I love pasta so much.
Oh and I am not sure if I should work out and burn more calories that I am not eating. Granted, I hate to exercise as well. The most I do is walk my dog half a mile and run up the stairs to class.

Bacon!
Eggs!
Cheese!
Mayonnaise (even a soy-based vegetable oil alternative- I like Grape seed oil veganaise because there are no eggs and it helps regulate cholesterol... which is good for me because I LOOOOOOVE eggs and probably eat too many, lol. Either way, many people who never liked mayo before they went vegan like this mayo substitute because it really does taste good)
Whole-milk cream-top yogurt! Mmmmmmmmm! (I like Brown Cow Cream-top Maple)
Start looking at labels of foods you like when you're in the grocery store. The stuff I mentioned before is usually the most nutrient-dense stuff... meats and cheeses and dressings and spreads...
Cook with butter when olive oil isn't appropriate.
Don't OD on sugar, though. Too much juice could play with your blood sugar that way... and too much protein could strain your kidneys, but you say you don't eat much anyway, so it would be pretty hard for you to over-eat the stuff, I guess.

Try adding more proteins and meat into your pasta. That will be better. Also, you could add a handful of almonds in at breatfast or as a snack, they are good protein and don't take too much space up in your stomach. :)
