new tattoo question please answer?

i have a black and grey (in shading) tattoo. it's quite detailed. it's been 5 days and it's peeling and scabbing, that im expecting. but underneath the peeling the black obviously looks lighter. but some of the shading almost looks purple or milky. and some of the black lines aren't as crisp as it looked before.

does tattoo ink adjust after a couple weeks. will it stand out a little more or get slightly darker over time? or am i looking at having to get allot of touch ups to re-define the black lines?

The best advice; follow the aftercare instructions of your artist to the letter, don't scratch or pick at the tattoo and don't worry about it!

Each tattoo heals differently. I am sure it is healing fine, it just takes time. Unless it becomes really red or inflamed and painful then leave it well alone and it will heal soon enough

Hope this helps, enjoy your new tattoo and take care of it! Its going to be with you for a long long time

I have always used vitamin A-D ointment. Just enough to keep it moist not wet. my tattoos never scab using A-D till it's healed about 12-14 days. I wouldn't worry about it if you dont pick at it.the dull look you speak of will clear up after a little time. When It's completely healed use any lotion to brighten it up.This works well for meGood luck!
