I like that Kayson has the literal meaning that also describes your character. I'm doing the same thing for my story, using names that have meanings which very accurately reflects the characters. However, Kayson does have an extremely contemporary sound - like Kayden, Aayden, Brayson, etc.

Rebecca is very believable, as it's common and nothing so new or trendy that is unrealistic for an older character.

Marlow, however, reminds me of a cross between Marley and Harlow, which are two very recently trendy first names. And Marlow is more of a....too interesting, soft kind of last name. For example, Twilight's Isabella Swan. Okay, I can buy the first name, even though Isabella is more common now than it was seventeen years ago when Bella would have been born. But Swan? Come on...

I use phone books to get last names for my characters. They're believable and interesting, but don't have the common blandness of, say, Smith and Jones.

Below is a link to other names that relate to health and healing.

Not unless she's a 5 year old boy, as that's about how trendy Kayson is - anything else would make her anachronistic.

And in what language does Kayson mean "healer"? Not Greek, if that's what you've seen - that refers to Ἰάσων or Jason.

Eh- it's alright. Kayson is a bit unusual, but the middle and last names are fine.

Can you spell it Cason or does that change the meaning.

What made you choose Rebecca, Bible or The Crucible, maybe?

    Is Marlow the last name?

Yes I quite like that. I'm writing this story where this girl is like, the "chosen one", and her name (Estelle) means "A star."

But yeah, I really like that. I think it's cool how you're incorporating her name's meaning into the story.

It sounds pretty believable to me. If you want suggestions, here are a few...

    Katara Healah

    Heather Dohner

    Shannon Healson

Choose something which sounds soothing, not rough like Rocky! Hope this helps!
