Responsobility and Punishment?

well, you cant blame your parents for that, thats there job. so im suggesting to get over it and next time make sure your cell phone is ALWAYS with you.

That's a major bummer, but maybe you should rethink these "friends" as that's not something a true friend would do, and be more careful about where you're keeping your cell phone - don't leave it just sitting around anybody that you don't trust, and protect it with a password.

And I would sit down and explain to your parents now that it wasn't your fault, especially since you weren't in the room but you promise to look after your phone better from now on.

If you were completely unaware that they were doing it then it is not your responsability. Sure you should make sure your phone isn't somewhere were people can get it, that does not excuse the culprits for doing it.

That is like saying if someone stole your car and went out and ran someone down and killed them, it is yoru fault and you should go to prison.

That's dumb, on both your parent's part and your friend's part. You should do one of two things. One, try to get your parents to understand again that it's not your fault whatsoever. And if that doesn't work, go to your friend's parents and tell them that they bought porn online. :P
