Help on Excel formula?

Hi,

I keyed in 1 in cell S14, keyed in 2 in cell S17 and 3 in cell S17 After which I drag (1-3) downwards and the following numbers appear in CELL S21) 3.315789474

S22) 3.710526316

S23) 4.105263158

S24) 4.5

S25) 4.894736842

S26) 5.289473684

No S27 info

S28) 5.684210526

S29) 6.078947368

Why is this so? What formula is this?

Any advice?

    hey mate,

    its uses a linear approximation (i.e. fits a the best straight line to fit the points) to approximate the points of data...

    Please edit your question. You seem to have typed two different things in S17. Be glad to help if you give the correct info.
