Thought there is no air in space? How do rockets propel at their speed and more so Helios 2..so fast ?

I have an excel worksheet sample which is not password protected. But I am unable to get the grid lines to show even after:

1) Using Tools> Options>Gridlines

2) Use no fill...The choices of colors for both fill and wording are all blocked out.

How do make excel to do this in the first place? And how to I make the gridlines show now?
