has anyone bought home on H1B?
Hi,
Am plannin to buy a town house shortly but am still on H1B and my green card has not been processed as yet. Wanted to know if anyone has bought a house still on H1B.
What opinions do u have on this?

You don't have to be a US citizen to buy a house...so if you got the money and/or can get a loan, then go ahead and buy it.

You can buy a house on a H1B.
You can buy a holiday home without even being in the country.
But you need to pay cash.
No American company will lend you the money if you are on a H1B
There are tick boxes,
1) Permanant Resident
2) US Citizen
And whatever one you pick you either need to provide a copy of your greencard or passport and they check to make sure its legit.
Since you asked this before call up Wells Fargo and speak to a loan officer.
