What to wear to a funeral...?
I know this isn't the type of event that is about fashion but I still don't know what to wear. I haven't been to a family funeral/wake since I was little and back then my mom told me what to wear and it didn't really matter.
I feel like I should wear black but I don't have too many all black ensembles and I'm not going to go out and buy something new.
What would be appropriate to wear? Friday night is the wake. Then Saturday is the funeral and luncheon type thing. For the grave burial it's going to be extremely cold and snowy.
I'm 16 by the way. What should I wear? Does it have to be all black?

It doesn't have to be all black that's more old times. Any dark color would due, like a dark blue or deep purple black brown. Don't wear anything bright or summery. If it is going to be cold you could wear black dress pants and a nice top. On the actual funeral day you should consider a dress or skirt. Just wear like nice church clothes.
I am so sorry for your loss!! :(

You can wear dark colors like navy blue, grey, black. I would not wear anything loud or bright. You can wear a white dress shirt with a black skirt/dress pants. Dress in something classy. You wanna be respectful towards the family and friends so nothing flashy. Even though your mom use to pick out your clothes, you can still ask her for advice. Im sorry for you loss.God Bless!

If you don't want to go out and get something wear dark jeans and a black top or a dark zip up. Dark colors is the key though. Black, dark blue, brown. Sorry about the loss! :( hope this helped...

You don't have to wear all black, but you shouldn't be dressing in short skirts, low cut tops, and bright-bright colors.
Keep colors neutral, navy, chocolate brown, and grey are good. Wear a pair of nice trousers and closed-toe shoes.
Wear something similar to what you would wear for a job interview.

To my grandpaps funeral in January I wore a gray sweater and black dress pants, honestly you can wear any neutral color like tan, brown, gray or black works.

I think any neutral color will be okay for the occasion, maybe a black sweater or jacket over what your wearing since you mentioned it will be cold. I would wear a black long sleeve and maybe a long cute necklace.. Good luck!

Well, you really should wear all black, but I guess dark navy blue or dark brown would work too ;)
