There are 6 types of receptors in human beings,and they are as follows:-
1.Chemoreceptors/Gustatoreceptors/Crustatoreceptors(sensible to taste):--obviously located in the tongue.
2.Mechanoreceptors(sensible to feelings of pain and pressure):---located in the skin.
3.Thermoreceptors(gives sensation of hotness and coldness):---also located in the skin.
4.Photoreceptors(Sensible to light) :--include rods and cones located in the retina of the eye.
5.Phonocumstato-receptors(located in the ear) :--facilitates hearing and maintaining body balance.
6.Nasal Receptors:---tiny hair-like projections from the epithelial layer of the nasal chamber that sense smell of paticles that stick in the mucous.
