What is it with Americans and Fake Drama?

Seems to me the Americans HAVE to have some drama in their lives...Example: American Idol..Every contestant had some sob story...So they could have an excuse if the weren't selected...Is there any one out there that is just Normal...ie. Someone didn't die, lost their job, grew poor, beaten, or with some sickness?

I'm not a foreigner...Just curious to what happened to the tough American...What happened to John Wayne ???

And...The American Idol thing was just an example...I'm fat bcause...I'm laid off because...I'm going into a University and shoot every body because...I'm stupid because...Etc. Etc...Etc...How about...I'm stupid because I did not study in school...I'm fat because I eat MC Ds every day and don't exercise...Etc Etc...

    I think its the celebrity culture that teaches us that if we're not experiencing some sort of drama than we aren't being talked about by our friends, etc, and therefore we aren't really living life to the fullest.

    It's called Life, and it sucks sometimes. Some just broadcast it more openly than others. The day I find anyone who claims they lead happy , and perfect, lives year long, will probably be the same day I read about them clipping random people off with a rifle from some watch tower.

    What is it with foreigners and thinking all Americans are like the people on TV reality shows? It's entertainment. Most Americans are just normal.

    What is it with "other people" thinking every American is just like the people you see off t.v? These "other people" claim to be smarter than Americans, but tbh, I don't see how. They are more ignorant and stupid than the "average" American.

    Drama is fake. It's called "fiction". What you're referring to is fake reality, something else entirely.
