Catholics: Mass this morning?

I went to mass today. You guys are sneaky. The priest must have realized I was a protestant. All the prayers and worship were directed to God and we all know you pray and worship the saints. No one bowed to any statues either and everyone knows you guys worship idols. Amazing how quick you can change things when a non-catholic comes in. Didn't fool me a bit.

On a serious note. Any other non-Catholics gone to mass? What did you think? I really enjoyed the service. Eucharist was something else. For my Catholic friends I did not partake. But the, and I tried to avoid this word, presence I felt during it was great.

What must I put on? Just modest apparel. Casual or trade, there may be probably a blend of each. No turn-flops, please. But do not fear an excessive amount of, nobody shall be there checking you. What must I count on? Solemnity. What must I say / now not say? If you've got not ever been to 1, you on the whole do not know the responses, so you'll simply sit down, stand, and kneel with the relaxation of the men and women. Please do not cross up for Communion. Taking Communion within the Catholic Church approach greater than in different church buildings. When you assert "Amen" you're professing notion within the True Presence. And on account that you're now not Catholic, you on the whole do not consider that (but!). Good success! I will devote modern-day Rosary to you. Edit: "Latin?! LOL I'm fifty one years ancient and a lifestyles-lengthy Catholic. I've NEVER been to a Latin Mass." I'm 18 and I've been to a couple of.

  • Arrrgh...you're onto us. Yes, our evil Bishops have all Catholics implanted with a secret device to keep track of each person entering a Catholic parish, that's how we know when a non-Catholic is present and then we put on that show for the sake of the protestant...all to ensnare them into the evil clutches of the Romish Papacy mwahahahahahahaha!! You have stumbled upon our pagan worship of the Sun God, Expect a visit from a Jesuit....VERY soon.

    ;-) glad you enjoyed.

SNORT!!! Now that was hilarious. . .good job of making us battle-weary R&S Catholics laugh, m'friend.

And I'm so glad that you felt the Presence of our beloved Lord and Savior. So many people -- Catholics included -- go to Mass and never sense the love and compassion of Jesus in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist.

You were truly blessed, and I hope you know how welcome you are to attend Mass any time.

I've attended masses, but I was raised Lutheran so it didn't seem all that foreign: cross, candles, wafer, wine, altar clothes, vestments. Close enough to be familiar but slightly off.

This thing of which you speak near the end, you are right to pause and say what you did, for there are no other words to describe this. It has moved me to tears many many times.
