The songs I just bought on iTunes aren't playing! What gives?

Today I just got through buying an album and two songs off iTunes, I waited until they finished downloading and when they finished I tried to play them, but the song stayed at 0:00, but it was on play and then songs play count kept rising, yet no sound.

I checked all the songs I bought and nothing!

Thinking it was my whole iTunes I checked songs I downloaded elsewhere and burned from CDs, unlike the iTunes purchased songs they were playing perfectly fine, absolutely no funny stuff.

Yet when I play these new songs, I get nothing, and why is that even though the song isn't playing the songs playcount keeps rising like it's doing a complete playthrough?

I tried going to the Apple support section, I tried everything I believed applied to me

Note, I restarted my itunes, and I even tried putting the songs on my ipod thinking it just wasn't playing itunes and it might play on my ipod.

Instead of it playing, my ipod skips the song like it finished playing it already.

I'm really confused and I'm starting to get kind of agitated.

Maybe it's because I bought the songs with a credit card? And they won't play until is verified?

I just don't know what could be wrong!

Please help?

Your answer probably lies within your computer. Is there a virus? Have you verified your credit completely, or is it expired? So, with this, there are 3 possible things, but I cannot guarantee that they will help completely.

    1. Is there a virus, or hidden infected program? If you have a virus, it has probably found iTunes. On the other hand, there is the iTunes itself. Usually, when a song does not play, it is not in the right format, so you may have to try and go through Windows, filter through it, and the rest of the stuff (which I hope you know how to do). So, you either need to filter through WMP or just get an antivirus, and redownload a good iTunes. One more thing is that you may not have downloaded the recent iTunes download. it usually may help.

2: Oh, this reminds me. there are ripoff's out there. They sometimes screw stuff up, and mess up a lot of files, causing crashes and slower downloads, as well as illegal things.

If you used a credit card, make sure it is not expired. That is usually what happens. Or, you may have maxed out your credit. A lot of things reject when your credit is maxed or expired.

3: Even if most of the obvious answers are not out there, then go to someone in the know; they usually fix stuff up superfast. Also, if it is the songs, then try LimeWire, but only if you have Antivirus, or trustable antivirus icons. Just stick with iTunes, and see if it works out. Oh, and if those files were from a microphone or illegal, then iTunes usually comes out with "satisfaction guarantee that takes corrupted files, and gives you the money back.

    Good luck!

Itunes is sometimes... not a good source to get your information. Go to this site: www.4shared.com It's free, and it downloads faster than Itunes. Itunes can sometimes process problems with your purchase. Or, you could go to an Itunes store, and ask them what was wrong.

There is an optional update you need to search for in the market, I believe its called "optional media update" or something close to that. It will make it so your ipod and itunes songs can be played.

iTunes is a rip-off. Go somewhere else.
