  • Where can I sell my used manga in NY?

I used to be a pretty hardcore manga collector, but as time went on I've grown out of reading manga. Now, no one I know would like them since many of them are Shoujo (girl oriented comics).

I've heard about Book Off, but I've been told they have a tendency to rip people off, even if the books are in great condition or rare. So that brings me to the question of where can I go to sell these darned things?

Heck, if anyone reading this is interested in buying some, just say so.

I've got a ton of titles, and I'm willing to let them for a reasonable price.

I just don't want to sell my books at a store where I might get ripped off, and wind up being better off tossing them into a trash compactor.

  • The songs I bought from itunes will not play...?

Today I just got through buying an album and two songs off iTunes, I waited until they finished downloading and when they finished I tried to play them, but the song stayed at 0:00, but it was on play and then songs play count kept rising, yet no sound.

I checked all the songs I bought and nothing!

Thinking it was my whole iTunes I checked songs I downloaded elsewhere and burned from CDs, unlike the iTunes purchased songs they were playing perfectly fine, absolutely no funny stuff.

Yet when I play these new songs, I get nothing, and why is that even though the song isn't playing the songs playcount keeps rising like it's doing a complete playthrough?

I tried going to the Apple support section, I tried everything I believed applied to me

Note, I restarted my itunes, and I even tried putting the songs on my ipod thinking it just wasn't playing itunes and it might play on my ipod.

Instead of it playing, my ipod skips the song like it finished playing it already.

I'm really confused and I'm starting to get kind of agitated.

Maybe it's because I bought the songs with a credit card? And they won't play until is verified?

I just don't know what could be wrong!

    Please help?

  • Is something wrong with me?

I've been in a long lasting slump, my passion for drawing is gone, funny thing is my mind is racing with ideas but I can't put them on paper.

Every time I've tried it's led to nothing, and whatever does manage to come out is lacking severely.

I don't feel passionate about anything, all I seem to do these days is loaf around the house and play video games.

Video games are the only thing that seem to still catch my interest.

That's the only thing that seems to stir up my passion.

This lack of wanting to do anything is effecting my college application process, especially because I want to go to art school and my portfolio is still incomplete.

I just can't focus, I don't feel inspired, and I just feel very dull and horrible.

What should I do? Is something wrong with me?

Do I just need to readjust myself? How?

I've heard the PS3 is region free, so that makes me wonder if the PS3 can play the internation version of FFX (which is a PS2 game).

  • What's this feeling I get when someone whispers in my ear?

I get this strange feeling in my spine, it starts tingling, and the sensation runs up and down my spine.

Whenever someones breath touches my neck it starts feeling strange too, it's not painful, it's like being tickled but not at the same time.

It's makes me feel weird, and I've since refused to have anyone whisper in my ear due to how awkward and uncomfortable I feel.

What is this feeling? I feel sort of embarrassed asking anyone I know, so I thought I'd ask this on the internet, for the sake of avoiding something that could wind up being awkward.

So please could you answer my question?

  • Is Final Fantasy X PAL version compatible with a US PS2?

You see, I'm considering buying a the PAL version of Final Fantasy X, for the extras, such as the Dark Aeons and the ultimate side boss.

Before I make the purchase, I want to know is if the region block prevents me from playing the PAL version.

If so, then I'll buy the PS2 necessary, if not, then I'll celebrate and buy the PAL version without worry.

  • I'm not ready for college, how can I possibly explain that to my mom?

You see, I graduated high school this year, now this should of been the start of something great, something new, and the beginning of journey to adulthood, as I've been told.

But, I'm simply not ready for college.

The last two years of my high school career was extremely hard, I was faced with the devastating loss of my grandfather, the return of my mentally and physically abusive father, my mothers unemployment, the possibility of being homeless, struggling to keep my grades of up, and other situations I'd rather not talk about.

Things worked out kind of, our home was secured and my father went under the radar again. After all that's happened in the short time of two years, and I find myself mentally exhausted and burned out.

I'm depressed and still trying to deal with what's happened, and I'm scared of my mind going to something so important as college.

I find these issues of mine too distracting, so my attention won't be dedicated to my studies.

And my mother wants me to get a job to boot, she wants me to juggle college, a job, and my baggage.

I can't function, especially with classes in less than three weeks.

I'm having constant panic attacks, I got into a big fight with my mom for absolutely no reason, and I'm just unable to relax or calm down.

How can I possibly explain to my mother that I need a few months off, hell, the college I'm going to is only something my mother devised with my god mother who got me in, I'm only staying for a semester before I transfer.

But transffering requires good grades, and getting good grades in college isn't an easy feat from what I've been told, it takes determination and dedication, two things I can't give right now.

What's a few extra months going to hurt? I plan to enroll in the Winter/Spring Semester.

I just need to relax, without term papers and deadlines breathing down my neck.

How can I possibly explain it to my mother? I told her I'd be willing to get a job and take art classes to prepare my portfolio

(For the school I do plan to go to)

I plan to stay occupied and not cooped up in room like my mom fears.

My mother as supportive as she can be, also has a short fuse and can get scary angry.

What can I do to calmly explain my problems.

  • Where can I get safe and free anti-virus, anti spyware, and computer protection software?

I'm strapped for cash and my computer needs some protection.

Especially from that virus Antispyware 2008 and other virsus related to it.

Does anyone have any good suggestions?

I've heard of Superantispyware and Malwarebytes.

Never used the first one, and I was told Malwarebytes was pretty good, even if it's only a free trial I'd be able to get.

Can someone also mind telling me the pros and cons of certain programs, especially the ones I've heard of.

I don't want to wind up downloading something that could bring more harm to my computer than help.

    Thank you in advance.

  • Black Desktop and visible pointer?

I'm not too sure when this began.

When I turn on my computer it the desktop boots, but none of my icons or taskbar appear.

It's just a black or as it is now a greyish blue screen.

And the pointer is visible and functioning fine.

I've been told it's something to do with the booting.

Before this I had a habit of manually turning the computer off when it froze, but pressing on the power button or pulling the plug.

Also I used System Restore in order to help, my computer isn't freezing anymore.

But the desktop still goes black with the arrow

    What gives?

I don't have the XP CD, just to get that out of the way.

Is there anything I can download or do?

Do I have to do this manually, such as take the computer apart?

    I'm not very computer savvy.
