how to recover flash drive data?

I was trying to install xubuntu to my flashdrive and when i used the usb disk creator in xubuntu it wiped my flashdrive clean i would like it if i could get that back im using xubuntu and my flashdrive is sony if that matters

    Connect flash drive to computer using a card reader. You should see flash drive shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.

    Download recover software asoftech photo recovery pro. Install and open asoftech photo recovery, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

    If it wiped the drive clean, it's probably because it was reformatted, and if that is so the data is unrecoverable.
