Looking up each word separately gives me: ka hasu, 火蓮

I wanted to check with my japanese roomate on how he would say it and he said: karen 火蓮

How does the same kanji have all these different pronunciations and romanji?

I need to find the relationship between signal strength and distance from my router to my computer. I need a program that displays average signal strength and i will plot signal strength and distance on a graph. I'm running linux so i need a program that will give a signal percentage and not signal bars. What program can I use or mod to give me these #s

Im trying to find out if i can how strong a signal is from a wireless router. If i pinged that router could i use some sort of time stamp thing to figure out how strong the signal is? Is there a better way of finding real time signal strength?

Today my teacher was telling me about a program that she recommends to her students and i can not remember the name of it. All i can remember is the program cost about $150-160. It covered math 3 through pre-cal/trig and it was kinda like a video but i think it had some interactive elements. She showed me a preview and it looked like a flash video with lined paper for the background and would go back and forth between writing and a calculator. I was told that it is orated by a Harvard grad. She also told me that she has been recommending it to students for a long time so its not new. If i could just get the name of this that would be great, but a link to the website would be better!

Im not talking about wind, coal or hydro. I want the basic devices that are used to create energy. like the magnetic generator, solar panels, piezoelectric whatevers... you get the idea. What do we use to make energy. In particular is there anything that converts heat into energy.

I am in 10th grade Pre-Ap Biology. In my school there is two pre-ap classes for this course. It just worked out that one of these classes was all girls and one mixed. Our teacher thought it was a good idea to run an experiment on the girls to see which class will learn more. She shows obvious bias in that the teaching lessons are completely different, but still claims that the other class is doing better. I have confronted her on the subject and she said that the other class is way ahead of us but my girlfriend who is in the other class said she doesn't understand or have ever had our home work. Is this legal or moral? If not how do I confront my administrators.

I have done my research and I have concluded that if whales or any other aquatic mammal pees and poops out the same hole then they are not really pooping. When whales poop it is akin to us having diarea which if it came out of a pee hole would be peeing. Please I need help!

My dad thinks that because we have spray foam insulation in our attic that it would be cost affective to cool our attic. He wants me to climb up in the attic with him and cut some holes in the ducting to cool our attic, which (he thinks) will in turn cool our house. Our attic dosn't have a thermostat. My initial thought is caps but they take to long to charge.

Say you charged some caps in a parallel circuit and you discharged them rapidly into a electromagnet over and over in succession?

Say 10 caps where charged and you discharged the first one then the second... so on

If you controlled these with a micro controller how fast could you get it to work?
