College Students - would you live off campus in this townhouse?
College students: I own a nice 3 bedroom townhouse with a finished basement less than 2 miles of a large major university. (I went to that school too.)
1- would college students be interested to live in it? (I'm thinking that I'd have 4 girls or 4 guys - each with their own room, and one in the basement.)
2. would you be willing if you paid the same as the dorm cost, and you can pay per semester? (the nearby school is $2200 a semester (end of January-May)
3. what if you shared a room? The advantage would be privacy, no crewfew, larger space than a dorm.

Maybe things are different where you live, but where I live this wouldn't even be an issue. 99% of students leave the dorms after first year, so off campus housing is everywhere. There are landlords of all kinds from people who own a house and rent it, to people who make a business out of it by renting out dozens of properties.
As for the price, I guess it depends on your area. Here, we just pay monthly rent. The standard rent for student housing is about $370-$450/mo, depending on what is included. It's usually a little more expensive than the dorms are.
Nobody likes sharing rooms, and you *can* have too many people under one roof. Keep it at 5.
