Has anyone received the Army Retroactive Stop-Loss payment?

I was active duty and was supposed to get out Sept. 2007. I did not ETS until July 2008 (counting terminal/transitional leave) due to stop-loss for a combat deployment in which I deployed to Iraq for OIF. I have put in for the Stop-Loss retroactive pay that is supposed to be for all soldiers who were stop lossed and missed there initial ETS because of it. I submitted it back in the 2nd week of december and the status has not changed since. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE? If you have received it, how do they calculate it and how do they pay?

Update:

How long did it take to get it?

I just received it last week. They cut a Treasury Department check (like the one you get if you get a tax return.) Came in the mail.

I wish I could remember when I initially applied to help you with the timeline. Can't remember. But they are processing and cutting checks now.

It's $500 a month. Tax free for the months you were in country, taxed for the months that you were home.
