For each x in the domain, find the value of f(x)
f(-3) = - (-3) + 4 = 3 + 4 = 7
f(-2) = - (-2) + 4 = 2 + 4 = 6
What you will get at the end is {7, 6, 5, 3}. You may want to write it {3, 5, 6, 7}.

The range is any value that y, also known as f(x), could be when x is one of the numbers in the domain of {-3, -2, -1, 1}. Given that, you need to solve the equation f(x) = –x + 4 for each value in the domain.
f(-3) = –(-3) + 4 = 3 + 4 = 7
f(-2) = –(-2) + 4 = 2 + 4 = 6
f(-1) = –(-1) + 4 = 1 + 4 = 5
f(1) = –(1) + 4 = -1 + 4 = 3
So the range off (x) = –x + 4 for the domain {–3, –2, –1, 1} would be:
{3, 5, 6, 7}

You plug each domain in the f(x). F(x)=y. Y=range
f(-3)=-(-3)+4=7
f(-2)=-(-2)+4=6
f(-1)=-(1)+4=5
f(1)=-(1)+4=3
Range{7,6,5,3}

i think range is the set of values for Y, so substitute ur domain values to x, the resulting numbers are your set of Y or your range. Note: F(x) is also known as the Y
