So Christians your God condones rape and human trafficking?
I just finished reading chapters 19-21 of Judges and wow. So one guy basically takes his wife and throws her to the lust hungry crowd of men outside and he lets them rape her all night till she dies from it. Then he finds her in the morning and chops her up into little pieces and nothing happens to him. But the Israelites decide it's the men of the city's fault and go on a tirade killing off almost everyone in the city (including all the women and children living there). But then it gets better, oh yes much better. So since they kill off all the women, there is no one left to procreate with the men that are actually spared in the killing spree. So the Israelites tell them to go off and kidnap some women who will be dancing at a festival. "So they instructed the Benjamites, saying, "Go and hide in the vineyards and watch. When the girls of Shiloh come out to join in the dancing, then rush from the vineyards and each of you seize a wife from the girls of Shiloh and go to the land of Benjamin." (Judges 21: 20, 21)
Not God's will huh? That's not what Judges 21:15 says. "The people grieved for Benjamin, because the LORD had made a gap in the tribes of Israel." Seems like it was all God's doing from that verse. And I'm just saying, it's stuff like this that is the reason I'm no longer Christian. I read the Bible and I read it with an open mind so that I could see the light and that there's no way God (or at least one I'd want to worship) would be capable of condoning such horrendous acts against mankind.
And concubine or not, she was a human with rights. What happened to eye for an eye? Isn't that a commandment from God? Well I guess it's only used with men since women are apparently just a step up from animals.

The Christians are going to brush it off saying "Oh that's the OLD TESTAMENT" or accuse you of taking it out of context. They are like battered wives, constantly making excuses for their abusive god.

Glad you are taking an interest in Christianity but you might want to learn to read other versions to get a better sense of what is going on. The husband never sent the wife out to be raped. He never even knew about it till he found her in the morning lying there dead. The old man refused to let the man be raped and gave his daughter and the man's wife instead.
The husband of the raped and dead woman cut up her body and sent pieces out to all 12 tribes of Israel (the body was cut up as proof). The husband told the messengers to ask each tribe had it even happened to any of them since the day they left Egypt. They all sad no. The Israelites then went to war with Benjamin with God's permission (No Kings ruled Israel at this time so the 12 tribes had to communicate).
However, since they almost wiped out the entire tribe when they were done they realized that no women were left. Since the tribe they almost wiped out was one of the sacred 12 tribes they were not allowed to let them all die. So they had to find wives for the men left in Benjamin. They made a promise not to let those men marry any of their women but not all of the other tribes. So the one tribe that did not go to the place of worship for the Mizpah (Which was the scared tent at Shiloh or the town of Bethel). The tribe of Jabesh didn't send a representative to the Mizpah. All tribes had made a promise to God to attend the Mizpah and whoever broke that promise would be killed. So then Jabesh was attacked and killed all but the unmarried women (Jabesh was only a city).
Then the wive stealing at the Lord's Festival in Shiloh was not condoned by God since the tribes just figured it was ok to get wives for the men of Benjamin that way if the men of Benjamin got them, themselves. The tribes did what they thought was right. The only part God played was in commanding the troops to attack and defeat Benjamin. (Reminder: No Kings ruled Israel at the time.)

God did not tell the people to do these things. Israel has always done as they wished. That is why they have merited the curses from God, according to their agreement with God in Leviticus 26.
God gave a Law that was impossible to keep; what it would take, in the flesh, to be righteous according to the standards of a holy God. Instead of crying out to God for mercy, and aasking Him to do this thing for them, the Jews, puffed up in their pride, said, "We will keep all of these things that God hast said". That is the reason that God gave them a conditional blessing system, meaning that they were rewarded, or blessed, when they kept the Law, and pleased God, and cursed as a nation, when they were disobedient.
God never condoned rape.

wow this "god" gets greater loving via the minute! polaris- loving god punishes the undesirable? then why are there murderers and rapists, toddler abusers etc which in no way get punished in existence. Why might he enable them to stroll loose between harmless human beings! Why does he curiously punish human beings for eternity purely reason they have not got faith interior the "real" faith, no longer believeing in a definite faith would not make somebody evil! Out of context? I honestly have been Christian formerly, I remember analyzing the verses interior the NT which sound hateful and purely attempting to neglect approximately them. it particularly is not out of context.

Your "question" is typical of those who don't actually read the Bible without looking for their own agenda.
I'm waiting for the part where it mentions that God asked or ordered any of this? Nothing?
Sorry, you are are totally wrong. The Bible is not just a description of some of the things relating the Jewish God, but also their history and cultural guide, their lesson book on what NOT to do, the mistakes of the past, the hopes of the future.
You don't get that because you have no background, like most people, in what the Bible is.
Ignorance. It makes us say some of the stupidest things.
No, I'm not a Christian. I just have little patience with nonsense or with bigotry spawned from ignorance and carelessness.

I just absolutely love how these idiot christians pick and choose parts from the bible and call us hypocrites!!!!

THAT IS NOT TRUE! The Bible has many stories of things that aren't God's will. These stories are meant as examples. It is not saying to do this.
