AMERICANS!!! Do you think that a salary of $50000 a year after taxes a lot?

It depends on wheater you have children or not. But to me its enough to live off of . and thats good enough if i happy in my career.

America is a big country, and the cost of living varies a lot from place to place. In some cities, $50,000 would barely be enough to keep you off the streets. In other areas, you could live pretty well on that.

Overall, I'd say it's an average salary, but there won't be room in the budget for very many luxuries.

It depends on the job. If you are a CEO of a fortunate 500 company it is more like a days salary not a year. If you are pumping gas then it is a good salary.

It also depends on your location. In Manhattan that would not be a living wage, but in other areas it might be a decent lower middle class income.

That all depends on if it's a person who lives alone or someone trying to support a family on how far and comfortable they will be. For a family it is not enough money.

It's better than average. You get to live in a house. I would say it's nice. And AFTER taxes? That's well over $65,000 isn't it? Hot stuff.

Extreme wealth is overrated.

It's a lot more than I make...I could certainly live well and save for the future on that.
