    Hi!

After 4 months of not using the account yahoo deletes accounts that are inactive

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/original/acc...

But, if you want to close your Yahoo! account, you can follow the steps

    https://edit.yahoo.com/config/delete_user

    Then do the following:

    ● Login with your current username and password

    ● Select which account that you want to delete

    ● Enter in your password once again for verification purposes

    ● Enter in the anti-spam code; this is to prevent automated submissions

    ● Click Terminate This Account to finish off this process.

    * When you close your account, you lose access to your Yahoo! ID, Yahoo! Mail, and profile names. We will delete your account data and settings across the Yahoo! network. This means you will lose all of your content in:

    Yahoo! Mail

    Yahoo! Address Book

    Yahoo! HotJobs

    My Yahoo!

    Yahoo! Groups

    Finance Portfolio

You can delete your Yahoo Answers Account in two ways, neither direct.

    ******************************

First you can leave the YA account as it is for a few months without accessing it and it’ll be eventually deleted due to inactivity. But before that you’ll have to:-

    •Make your Q&A ‘PRIVATE’,

•Set no Avatar and remove all ‘CONTACTS’ and ‘FANS’

•DISALLOW Fans and remove anything in the ‘’ABOUT ME’ column

•Remove your NICKNAME or name it ‘Blank’ (Anonymous), and

•CLOSE all links to your E-mail and other websites.

    *******************************

Secondly you can Use this Link referenced to delete your entire Yahoo account Before deleting follow the above things (from the first point) and read the warnings carefully in the link given below. Terminating your Yahoo account means you will LOSE access to: Yahoo answers, Flickr, Yahoo Mail, Yahoo Address Book, Yahoo notepad, Yahoo Briefcase, My Yahoo, and all Yahoo properties.

    ***********************************

When you delete your account either way all the questions you asked and answered will be available for the ‘Search’ and you cannot delete them. They now become the property of Yahoo or if resolved, they are already the property of Yahoo.

There really is no account to delete however you could double click your avatar, click edit my info, delete the info in your profile, including your personal avatar if you had one, click save then don't return to the site.your questions and answers remain on the site they are the property of Yahoo.
